Wyre Forest District Council is delighted to unveil an exciting new website showcasing the charm and beauty of the Severn Valley region.

Dedicated to promoting the wonders of the Severn Valley region and inspiring visitors and locals alike, the website aims to spotlight the rich culture, breathtaking River Severn and top attractions that make this area a must-visit destination.

From Shrewsbury in Shropshire, visitors on foot, wheels or boat can follow the beautiful River Severn southward through Worcestershire and discover somewhere new to see and visit.

Councillor Dan Morehead, Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Planning and the Green Agenda at Wyre Forest District Council said,

“We are very pleased to launch this website which serves as a gateway to the wonders of the Severn Valley. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a long-time resident, our goal is to inspire a sense of wonder and discovery, inviting everyone to experience all that this remarkable region has to offer.

Our intention is that in addition to visiting for a day, visitors choose this beautiful area for a staycation with friends and family as there are great places to eat, drink and stay. Activities wise, there really is something for everyone.”

The Severn Valley, with its picturesque landscapes and diverse cultural heritage, has long been a hidden gem waiting to be explored. With the launch of this attractive website, visitors can now have an insight into the scope of the region's unparalleled beauty and endless opportunities for adventure – whatever your age, ability, or mode of travel.

Highlights of the website include immersive cultural experiences - delving into the vibrant tapestry of culture that defines the Severn Valley, from its historic landmarks to its thriving arts scene.  Learn about the significance of the River Severn, the longest river in the United Kingdom, and explore the various activities it offers, from leisurely boat cruises to exhilarating water sports.
